The Castlederg and Victoria Bridge was a roadside tramway running from Victoria Bridge on the GNR(I) mainline between Omagh and Strabane, to the market town of Castlederg. The book sets out the regional setting of Castlederg and the context in which roadside tramways came to be developed in Ireland. The setting up of the company and the course of the line are described, with maps backing up the latter. The inevitable decline set in after WW1, with competition from roadside traffic and the line was closed permanently during the railway strike of 1933. Whilst most of the photographs are of a train related nature, there are quite a few photographs that contain an infrastructure or landscape setting.
